Manta Point

A shallow cleaning station (5–12m) where reef manta rays gather nearly year-round. It's the most requested site on the island, and one of the more reliable manta encounters anywhere in Southeast Asia.

Crystal Bay

Known for exceptional visibility and, from roughly July to October, one of the world's better chances of spotting Mola Mola (oceanic sunfish) rising from deep water to be cleaned. Water temperatures can drop sharply during Mola season — a 5mm wetsuit is worth bringing.

Conditions and Who It Suits

Nusa Penida's current can be strong and unpredictable, changing within a single dive. We generally recommend it for certified divers comfortable with drift conditions; newer divers can still join calmer sites with a guide managing entry and exit carefully. Snorkelers can access Manta Point and Crystal Bay on suitable days.

• Best for: divers wanting current-driven drift diving and big pelagic encounters.
• Travel time: around 45–60 minutes by fast boat from Sanur.
• Pair it with: Nusa Lembongan's gentler channel diving for a calmer contrast on the same trip.
