Blue Lagoon for Easy Days

Just around the headland, Blue Lagoon offers calm, shallow water over sand and coral bommies — ideal for a relaxed second dive, a check-out dive for students, or a snorkeling stop for non-divers in your group.

Blue Corner and the Sharks

A short ride further out, sites like Blue Corner see enough current to attract whitetip reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom, along with occasional passing eagle rays. It's more current-exposed than Blue Lagoon, so we generally suggest it for certified divers comfortable with drift conditions.

Why It's a Good Base

Padang Bai sits roughly midway between Sanur and the Tulamben/Amed coast, and it's also the departure point for boats to Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. If your itinerary covers multiple dive areas, it's a convenient midpoint to base a day or two.

• Best for: a mixed day — calm snorkeling at Blue Lagoon, a bit more current and marine life further out.
• Good pairing: combine with a Tulamben or Amed day if you're staying nearby.
