Are you a certified diver looking to take your passion for the ocean to the next level? Perhaps you've invested in an underwater camera but feel your photos don't do justice to the beauty you witness. This course is your bridge from taking pictures to creating art. We move beyond the theory, focusing on practical, in-water techniques honed in Bali's dynamic and rewarding dive sites.
An Exclusive Opportunity: Be Among the First
Please note: Our Digital Underwater Photography course is currently in its final development stage and is not yet available for public booking on our website. What You Will Master: Key Course Modules
- Mastering Light & Composition: Learn to work with ambient light, position strobes for dramatic effect, and apply classic compositional rules like the rule of thirds and leading lines.
- Buoyancy is King: Discover why rock-steady buoyancy is the foundation of sharp, well-composed images. We dedicate in-water time to perfecting your trim and finning techniques for photography.
- Gear Demystified: Get the most from your setup. We'll cover optimal settings for everything from a GoPro to a full mirrorless rig, including manual mode, aperture, and shutter speed.
- The Art of the Edit: Your work isn't done when you surface. Learn a streamlined post-processing workflow using popular software to make your images pop with colour and clarity.
- Reef Etiquette for Photographers: Practice capturing stunning images while respecting Bali's delicate marine ecosystems. Learn low-impact techniques to protect the reef for future generations.
From Macro Critters to Majestic Mantas: Choosing the Right Dive Site
A great photograph starts with the right location. Bali offers an incredible diversity of underwater environments, and we tailor our training dives to match your photographic goals.
- For Macro & Super Macro: We'll explore the volcanic sands of Tulamben and Amed, home to the famous USAT Liberty Wreck. These sites are a paradise for finding rare critters like ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and harlequin shrimp.
- For Wide-Angle & Pelagics: The current-swept reefs of Nusa Penida and Candidasa are your playground. Here, we focus on capturing dramatic seascapes, vibrant coral gardens, and encounters with Manta Rays and, in season, the elusive Mola mola (Oceanic Sunfish).
